However, I would recommend dressing a bit nicer than that for class. I think students should feel comfortable but also look presentable for their professors. No such thing as a dress code, as a teen I went trough a short phase where I was really paranoid about showing my body at all, so I’d show up to the pool/beach in sweatpants and sneakers, no one really commented on it, tho I probably got weird looks I didn’t notice lol I don’t think there is a specific dress code for swimming, but I would say that generally it is more socially acceptable to wear a swimsuit that is either all one color or that has a more subtle pattern. Wearing white shorts with a black top is not something I would personally do, but I don’t think there is anything wrong with it. I don’t have a definitive answer to this question because it really varies depending on the person and the situation. I know that some people prefer to wear sweatpants or shorts to the pool in order to avoid getting their clothes wet, while others simply feel more comfortable in them. It could be very uncomfortable when people stare at you. I’ll share these pics, I chose to keep a shirt on because I’m with my kids. I was to keep my shorts on but I felt some guest would like to see some legs. And girls aren’t known for staring up guys’ shorts whereas guys are known for staring up girls’ dresses. Plus, on the windy day, a short dress can easily blow upwards like an umbrella turning inside out. There’s no right or wrong answer to this question – it’s entirely up to personal preference! Some people might feel more comfortable and covered up wearing two shirts while swimming, while others might find it too bulky or restrictive. Ultimately, it’s important to wear whatever makes you feel confident and comfortable while enjoying your time in the water!
